Francis D. Grierson's "The Hall of the Dead" brings a practical young secretary into the private Egyptian museum of Professor Julius March, where scholarship, grief and occult memory have grown fatally close.

This LitLab miniature starts at the story heading in the April 1923 issue of Weird Tales and stops before "The Parlor Cemetery." The source has no authored chapters, so the reader remains a continuous story while the visual edition uses three private reading movements for unlock timing only.

The plates keep the horror non-graphic. The Hall, the automatic door, the woman's mummy-case, the staged seance and March's Egyptian delusion carry the dread; bodies, wounds and suicide spectacle stay off the page.
